This touched my heart...

It transcends politics and party; and I AM grateful for the men and women who do what they feel they must. I take every opportunity to tell them so, because they need to hear that. I'm very proud of my husband, retired Navy, and of my friends and family who serve and have served.

This was put together by a 15 year old girl, I'm told. Pretty amazing...

hubby was in the navy, during the cold war era. i lost friends in viet nam. for years, i've never been able to say thank you enough to those who served.

thank you. and welcome home.

this is remarkable!

Isn't it though?!

And a simple thank you can mean SO much...
You're welcome, and give your son a big THANK YOU from us...

That is good. Made me cry, and the point was well taken!

Re: Wow

Me too...I guess it's been around for awhile, but I'd never seen it. Beautifully done...
well, I touched mine, too, but I'm absolutely sure none of us needs wars except politicians.. and it's so sad that politicians don't fight there themselves, only someone's brothers, sisters, sons etc...
"It needs but one foe to breed a war, not two, Master Warden, and those who have not swords can still die upon them." Eowyn

well, the planet today became too small to fight upon it anyway... you never know how many peaceful men you may kill in order to fight just one fool :(
Quite so, love. It takes courage to live in this world. I don't intend for my journal to become a political forum, but I have always resonated to that quote.

And I love that photo of you from your submariner days...thank you to you, too.
That was very moving. A fifteen year old girl??? Wow.
Admittedly I didn't check with Snopes.com to see if that really was the creator, but given how good kids are with technology, I wouldn't be surprised, for a bright girl! I could tell the creator was using the same software I do, and it knocked my socks off!

Hope you're well, sweet thing, and not being washed away by hurricanes!

Hi Cathy! I just wanted you to know again how much I enjoy reading your blog. I have been taking your advice, too, and have been drawing little bits whenever I can. Someday, maybe I'll even have something to show you!

Because I do appreciate you, I nominated you today on my blog for the "I Love Your Blog" Blue Ribbon award. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me!
Thank you, Kristin, I'm honored! I'm so glad to hear you're drawing again...
