Painting a woodpeckerpeppershaker...

WoodpeckerPepper

So I was tired and a little frustrated this afternoon--we were supposed to hang the show in the coop gallery and didn't find out till too late to reach the artists that the space didn't want us on the refinished floor yet--the polyurethane was still too new (and certainly SMELLED like it, yeck!) I got there and there was nothing to do but sit around...

Came home after a few hours and made lunch, then got all drowsy and lazy...felt like I SHOULD be working, but just couldn't...so I got up and painted this instead. All those bright colors revitalized me!

All revved up and noplace to go. ;-)

i love it! and i remember one like it in my past. i think maybe at my aunt's house...it always made me smile! and the book arrived, today--i've been reading when i should have been being ambitious, but found it funny and interesting that i bought a set of the ink pigment pencils just this last fall, when they came out. new inspiration all the way around!
Isn't it funny how silly things like this make us laugh?? He looks so 1920s, like he should be advertising a jazz club or some kind of smokes.*G*

And you got the book, finally! I felt like such a dork arriving at the postoffice with only your name on the package, no address. DUhhhhhh...
