That time of year again...

mammogram

And just got the all clear again.  It IS important to do, and I hope all my friends take care of business...

Actually, I'm pretty pleased on the healthcare front.  Did NOT have diabetes, and my bone density issues aren't quite severe enough to merit a prescription.  I'll just take calcium and D vitamins, get some sun and hopefully some exercise, and see how it goes in 2 years.  My doctor said he wouldn't argue with me if I chose not to take drugs, so I chose not to take drugs!

ah, the ritual boobogram. squishography at its finest. and next time, take your ibuprofen an hour BEfORE you go for the test! it helps a lot when you get the overenthusiastic tech who believes that boobs must be about one millimeter thick for good visualization...

yes, yes, yes, people GET THE TESTS!!!!! they save lives, amidst the unpleasantness.

(and they serve as great equalizers for all of us. humility, in moderate doses, does not kill...but it keeps us mindful of our proper place in the scheme of things in the universe!)
Amen to all of the above, sweetie! Though I didn't think of taking the Ibuprofen before. Also, it is good to avoid caffeine for a couple of days before...less painful. I had a good little tech, and she does a really virtually pain-free job. Nobody enjoys the process, but it beats the alternative all to heck.
So glad you are doing better and thilled to find another Kansas Citian who blogs and is an artist! Love your site and your creations! Visit soon! PS the Stabilo color pens ...I would love to get a set, sound wonderful.
