Trying out a new concept in my personal life...

...I'm buried in work and obligations, but just really feel the need to have some time with my husband.  Granted, we go grocery shopping, and eat out, and go to Costco, but just a little downtime for just being together would be great.

I came up with the idea of starting the day with a cup of coffee on the deck and taking time to smell the--well, hyacinths or something, at this time of year.  We've got a nice little deck in a fenced back yard--my godson Aaron built "Fort Ruckman" for us a couple of years ago, and it's finally warm in the morning...

Hey, it'll take some working into!  We both kept noticing things that need doing, even out there.  We didn't last long before work called again, but it WAS lovely...and as Miss Scarlett said, "tomorrow is another day..."

I think that's a lovely idea - and a lovely way to start the day. :)
Sounds good to me too, sweetie! And by the way, thank you for my "virtual prezzie"! I've been meaning to write...oy...
No worries - trust me, I've been in that "been meaning to ..." state too often lately too. ;)
Probably from holding down two jobs (or more? Still doing photography?)

Smell the roses

Take time to smell the roses, then throw yourself into some work, any work, just to make a start or keep the momentum.

Re: Smell the roses

SO right, Pablo...seems to be the only way. Yesterday was ALL work, after our sweet time on the back deck...
