A meme I can definitely enjoy...

...this one came from [info]ladyblue56 via [info]kateslover , and thank you both...

The instructions are simple...

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two (although I'd have to edit that to read a MONTH or two...).
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.  (Wait...talking about politics makes me WANT a bottle of booze...)
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

So here's mine, infinitely pleasant...my sleeping husband.


Oh.  I'm sorry.  Was it supposed to be something YOU might find pleasant?   ;-P

Lovely moments. Thank you. It is 9 PM, Tuesday, and I, for one, have turned off the TV, am getting ready to wallow in my new recliner with an old Agatha Christie Miss Marple and a cuppa beside me.

Yes, Kathy Kate, a break from politics is restful for me, if even for a few hours. I meant to say how much I was intrigued by the picture of Julius against that tone of paper and with those delicate white highlights.

Hehe, I love your sense of humor. Sooo needed and appreciated these past several days.
The drawing of J is so tender and charming. And the tone on tone of Orange Julius has inspired me more than once to "borrow" the idea for drawings of my own cats.

I once went to a counselor who asked me if I had to laugh at EVERYTHING?! I said yep, it's the only thing that keeps me sane! (I decided to save my money and just keep laughing...)

Now some might argue that I'm NOT, in fact, all that sane, but keeping my sense of humor has gotten me through some tough times. ;-)

Well, girl, I borrowed the idea of working tone on tone from the Old Masters, so I think it's in the public domain by now. Go for it!

I hear you CathyKate. If those politicians could/would change their campaign rhetoric, and when voted in, would start working together instead of playing one party against the other, I would not have such jaundiced eyeballs when I look at them and wouldn't have to take so many vacations from them-- I mean, somebody needs to mind the store.

Well, as Joseph says, anybody who puts their faith in politicians is GOING to be disappointed...I've found that to be true of all but a very few.
