Cold remedy...

Lake pine, originally uploaded by Cathy (Kate) Johnson.

...we both managed to catch a real hacker of a cold after our oh-so-full, oh-so-wet weekend, and have been taking turns feeling better and worse--excellent planning, of course, because he took care of me, then I felt better and was able to go to the store and make chicken soup, then HE felt better and was able to take care of me the next day...still hacking and my ribs hurt from all the coughing, but do at least feel marginally human today!

Yesterday I'd had about all the lying about I could handle and asked my husband if he felt like driving out to the lake. Gloriosky, he did, and I sketched and painted in the lovely warm sun while he fished.

It did us both good, I think...the breeze off the lake even helped me to breathe better.

I've not accomplished as much as I'd hoped, this week--a bit of working on the book here and there--but my head's so stuffy there's not much room for cogent thought in there! Better luck next week, I hope...

Beautiful tree! Glad you are feeling better.
Thank you! I don't think I'll be bottling it as a cold cure just yet--still hacking!--but it did feel great while I was out there.

Great tree. So glad you two got to the lake, despite your colds.I think it always helps in one way or another. No, One CAN'T think with a cold--it melts the brain and pours it into our ears.
