May the Road Rise to Meet You

I had to do a card with the Irish Blessing...and I always liked the way this painting turned out...

That's Stonehenge typeface, a nice Celtic-looking face...

I really love designing, but marketing's not my long suit, isn't that the way of us artists? But since the marketing and sales director at the Elms asked me, and since I'd sort of "racked up brownie points" with them by helping out at the last minute, over the weekend, seemed like a great idea to follow through. I've always had a good relationship with the place, used to do my workshops there, so I jumped in with both feet.

My middle godchild, Molly, she of the glorious voice, sang the Irish Blessing at our wedding a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to do a card with that on it...

It's here: http://www.cafepress.com/cathy_johnson.177643823

And if you want to hear an incredible sung version, slightly different, by Maura O'Connell, find it here, live on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6BHib3I3Z0

may the road rise to meet you,
and may the wind at your back NEVER be your own...
LOL! I'm not counting my chickens on that one...
