Dinner was lovely!

A fresh Trust tomato, which I have never heard of, from the new little Farmhouse market here in town--grown in the ground, but within a tunnel, sliced into thick vegetable steaks; shredded Bistro herb cheese melted on top; fresh ground sea salt, and basil and rosemary, minced, from my garden, sprinkled over all.  I would have sketched it, but I didn't want the cheese to turn to cold glue...

Eating on the porch, with soft, cool, spring rain polishing all the leaves and the gill-over-the-ground, reading a wonderful travel book, just off the phone with my love...it's hard to imagine much better.  Unless he were actually here, of course...

your blog entry

Hi Kate,
I like your paintings very much, but I also like what you write about life in general. I see that you appreciate the small pleasures in life, and so do I.
Kind regards from
Claudia

Re: your blog entry

I do, Claudia! I'd hate to wait around for the BIG things to celebrate life!

(And I enjoyed your blog site, nice work!)

Sounds delicious Kate. We just picked 5 tomatoes out of "garden in a container" yesterday. Nothing like fresh tomatoes off the vine.

I know! I didn't get any planted this year, too busy with the book and rehab!
